and experiences
Dear Pat,
We would like to thank you for following up on our previous letter so quickly; everything that was on our list has now been completed.
We appreciate the way that you personally respond if we contact you about an issue that is not being resolved, and that you always follow through and remain true to your word. We have previously dealt with two other builders (once we had a home built, and once we purchased the model home), and have never been treated as well as we have been with Stonecrest Homes. In the past, we had issues go unresolved, literally for months. If we contacted the office, we were always given some excuse as to why we could not speak to someone "higher up", and things were never dealt with unless we continually contacted the office to remind them that things were still unresolved.
It truly is refreshing to be able to move into a new home and be received with an atmosphere of personal service, rather than being a number on the bottom of a corporation's list. It has allowed us to enjoy our new home so much more, which is how it should be!
Yours truly,
Andrew & Dawn McCleave
Hi Maggie/Pat,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank Stonecrest homes for the experience and introduction to the township of Wellesley.
When my wife, daughter and I were looking for a new home we had thought we had decided on a new subdivision in the east end of Kitchener off Fisher Hallman Rd. I work at RIM and my wife works for a Wellness clinic both off Columbia St. in Waterloo. Wanting to be thorough shoppers we decided to take a drive to Wellesley to completely rule it out. The first shock was the drive, on a Saturday with no city traffic it was adding 4 minutes to what would have been our daily commute, adding in the morning and afternoon traffic I would estimate driving to Kitchener would actually exceed this.
Not having strike one we had figured we could not afford the luxury that country living would provide and once again were disappointed….in a good way. Visiting the model home we instantly found a bond, with the little extras that are all included from the 9’ ceilings to ceramic tile throughout, a nice builder bonus and referral package (as we have friends in the area) and extra large lots all standard compared to the sardine can lots in the city were all too much to discredit and we both agreed everything was lining up perfect and made the plunge purchasing the “Jade” Stonecrest home.
We had a number of questions leading up to the closing and all were answered promptly, those 5 months were a blur and just before Christmas 2008 we took possession of our beautiful house. Now, I would be lying if I said everything was perfect, however, we have had no major issues of any type and anything that did come up was dealt with promptly and friendly by Jamie. I cannot thank him enough for the service he has provided. I have heard horror stories about other builders in the KW region and am very happy to say our experience has been phenomenal to date.
The area services are also beyond expectation. I was a little concerned about the winter drive, however, have found the streets and area roads plowed before I am even out of bed in the morning. Sadly the roads are worse when you hit Columbia St in Waterloo then leaving the village. The local public school is a 9 iron away and Inspiring minds daycare is just around the corner as well making this the perfect choice for a new family.
When making a purchase as large as a new house, it is a scary stressful thing to do, between the village of Wellesley and you good folks at Stonecrest homes this has been an enjoyable exciting experience and not only could I refer a stranger, I would have no issues referring my own family.
Thank you for everything.
